“A New Mexico city council voted to disregard Democratic Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s coronavirus lockdown measures and reopen businesses and schools. The Roswell City Council held an emergency session on Monday evening over the governor’s lockdown regulations, many of which have remained in place since the outbreak of the coronavirus in the United States in March. The council had voted in July not to enforce the governor’s orders, leaving all enforcement actions up to the state police.”
