“Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc. Friday announced that its “game-changer” pill to treat COVID-19 had “overwhelming efficacy” in clinical trials. The company plans to request approval for the pill (an oral antiviral drug it named Paxlovid) from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) before Thanksgiving on November 25th.”
