“The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced charges against 47 Minnesotans Tuesday for allegedly defrauding the federal government’s child nutrition programs of $250 million in a little over 20 months.  “These 47 defendants engaged in a brazen scheme of staggering proportions,” U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger said during a press conference, describing the $250 million total as just the “floor” because the federal investigation continues.”

“A Minnesota nonprofit that was raided by the FBI last month announced Friday that it is dissolving, blaming “negative media reports.”  The FBI raided over a dozen properties connected to Feeding our Future Jan. 20. An FBI search warrant accused the “conspirators” of stealing “millions of dollars in federal funds” from child nutrition programs, but the nonprofit has denied any wrongdoing and nobody has been charged with a crime to date.”

“(Center of the American Experiment) — The Jan. 20 FBI raids on Feeding Our Future was just the latest escalation in a war between the state agency and two networks of nonprofits operating food giveaways to low-income children. The state Department of Education (MDE) has been battling Feeding Our Future and the related nonprofit Partners in Nutrition (aka Partners in Quality Care) in and out of court going back at least as far as 2017.”

“Rep. Ilhan Omar and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey are accused of receiving donations from men who stole millions of COVID relief dollars. One of these men also runs a charity founded by a city council member and sits on a city working group.”

“In light of a recent FBI raid on a Minnesota nonprofit over alleged fraudulent spending, one Minnesota state senator is calling for an audit on all COVID-related funds and spending.  Sen. Roger Chamberlain, a Republican from Lino Lakes, serves as chair of the chamber’s education committee. He called for the audits in a statement released Friday afternoon.”
