“Last month Minneapolis and St. Paul joined other major Democrat-run cities and required proof of vaccination in order to enter restaurants, bars, theaters, and other venues.”

“The Star Tribune’s Oct. 24 article on Gov. Tim Walz’s re-election efforts failed to cite or mention any reference to Walz’s most glaring failure as governor: his refusal to exercise his powers as Commander-in-Chief of the Minnesota National Guard to call them out immediately following the tragic death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020.”

“In September, 26 residents of north Minneapolis signed a letter that asked the governor to use state police or the National Guard to assist the Minneapolis Police Department in fighting a persistent crime epidemic.  The letter described north Minneapolis as a “war zone” and blasted Mayor Jacob Frey and the Minneapolis City Council for failing to properly address it, hence the appeal to Gov. Walz.”

“MINNEAPOLIS -- Minneapolis is planning to spend $6.4 million to hire dozens of police officers, at a time when some City Council members and activist groups have been advocating to replace the police department following George Floyd’s death.”

Downtown Minneapolis is a ghost town. “Developers have long had challenges navigating the aggressively liberal agenda of the Minneapolis City Council, but for some, the move to cut police funding was the last straw.”

"A district court judge rejected Minneapolis’ request to dismiss a lawsuit filed by eight residents who believe the city has failed to adequately staff its police department."

"In a Friday ruling, Hennepin County District Court Judge Jamie Anderson said the Minneapolis City Council and Mayor Jacob Frey “have no authority to divert funds from the Minneapolis Police Department if they have not met their public duty to fund a police force of at least 0.0017 employees per resident,” as mandated by the City Charter."

More Training for You Mr. Mayor!  Give Me Twenty, Mr. Mayor!

“ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - Gov. Tim Walz called for mandatory training for Minnesota’s mayors on the National Guard’s processes in the wake of rioting in Minneapolis and St. Paul. The Walz administration recently accused Mayor Jacob Frey of not taking the training, although the National Guard could not definitely say whether Frey attended training.”

“The Minneapolis Downtown Council business association is trying to get a message to City Hall: the rhetoric about dismantling the police force has already killed some real estate deals and has many downtown companies now looking to move to the suburbs.”
