As the USA goes, so goes the rest of the (third)world. Here in SA we going into lockdown tomorrow (Thursday 26th) for 21 days. The virus arrived here about 6 week after it arrived in the EU and USA. Those weeks gave us a crucial breather to prepare a bit – like washing hands. As of today we had 12,000 tests done, 709 positive cases, no fatalities.But it is the leadership of Pres Trump that has the biggest impact – I’ll say it; all over the world.No UN envoy, no newspaper, or African leader dare vocalize it. But everyone sees it, and knows it.Our own President Ramaphosa gave an excellent speech 2 days ago – it was basically a synopsis of what Pres Trump has been doing since January. He even refers to “other countries” and then list Pres Trump’s actions which we will now employ. Mark my words, we will follow the exact procedure when Pres Trump turn your economy on again in a week or so. Without the leaderships of Pres Trump we here in South Africa would have faced a disaster of epic proportions. Pres Trump is also one of the greatest world leaders in memory.
